Interesting... at 1:22, you can see a HUGE lamp with wax stuck to the sides.
Indeed. I can't believe they'd film in front of a lamp looking that bad.

I know! In another shot, it looks lovely and flowing, but in two shots, it looks like crap.
That was an unfortunate pic they showed in that one place, but it is flowing beautifully in the next one. Go figure? Thanks for posting that, LB!!!
Didn't realize it was Lava's birthday today till I saw a story on the local news tonight and a posting on my FB. Also made US national news as well. Here's one that aired today. Btw, I couldn't believe how much goo was splattered inside those Mathmos globes. LOL. Great vid. :)
Not a great initial shot of the Lava Lite lamps. Ouch.
Ah, so there's their VP of marketing... I've got a few suggestions for you! LOL First of all, looks like a MATHMOS lamp in the background at 0:36. Don't you work for Lava Lite?!
No special lamp from Lava Lite (no surprise there) and not much on their FB page about it. They could have done something cool, but noooooooooooooooooo.
Gah, Lava Lite is just so embarrassing.
I thought they were going to say "They have many returns..." LOL
I spy two new bases (or base coverings) at 1:27.
Mod edit: edited the title to be more accurate of thread contents
"the largest demographic of growth is actually kids under 18."
i'm an optimist, but i'm also a realist. given the above statement, i highly doubt we're going to see a quality lamp from LL in the future. they need to keep costs low in order for this demographic to afford the lamp, and a quality lamp isn't going to be cheap.
I agree, Brad, that phrase does not bode well for we, "the over 18" crowd.
That one was a LL....;-)
