Is there a particular time of year that LL releases new lamp colors?

Just curious about that.  I haven't paid attention to that but I will be now.  Do they regularly release new colors?  I would like to see some new neons for sure and maybe some new colors with the white lava.

I guess if nothing else play with dyeing them...

Its still pretty hard to get a 100% clear lamp, about 70-80% is as good as it gets and thats after checking every single one in that store and even if clear, the flow leaves a LOT to desire... I just never liked the funky painted bases, i just think theyre ugly and look cheap and are a futile attempt to bring a low quality product to a wider customer base instead of focusing on quality making every lamp actually flow properly vs using wax that lasts a couple of months before sticks to the glass or becomes dull and dark.

While these lamps are leaps and bounds ahead of those, the 90s and early 2000 lamps are still worlds away from what we get today. They still got a long way to go to be where they were at, and maybe never will be there again. Just because they make more money out of 20$ lamps even if 3/5 gets returned back to the store because it doesnt flow or its cloudy.

I for one love the psychedelic look. Will look great in my retro room. If anything I'll buy it for the base and replace the globe with a good old USA if need be.

And I wasn't crazy about that Rainbow base either Rodrigo. But the globe was free of those bubbles that drive me craaaaazie at least. I ended up putting it on a Midnight base. ♥

I actually like the two I just posted. I'd consider buying them. My only concern is long-term use (which remains to be seen on my new LL lamps). I see the ones at Spencer's that run all the time and they look COOKED.

I've had several clear lamps lately - my Neons, my Rainbow, my black/green, my Clearview. Quality is better, but the flow still need to be improved. For $20, they're not bad.

Well since the Dr let the cat out of the bag I can confirm what he said. Dale planned to do a high quality collectors set of retro styled lamps. It was scheduled to come out sometime around October. I heard about this really early in the year and after Dale left I was not sure if they would continue with his plan or not. If they turn out to be everything Dale planned for them to be prepare your wallets.

i'm sure we (i.e. us americanos) could do a trade for an astro.  we already have the purple and yellow neons which are 52oz though...
