So do I, Bill.   I think it'd take a stick of dynamite to get that goo off the sides.  UGH   I never got to see it flow at all, but I don't blame you, it had to be the hot temps.   It's still sitting in the back room where it's been since I got it.  Sniff Sniff

Rodrigo,

I think the Goo Kit was messes up some in shipping.  I've shipped a few and had sticking problems, however it was very hot weather.  I don't think I would ever ship a GooKitted lamp again during summer.  I sent Libby a GooKitted Teardrop this past July or so.  It was flowing wonderfully when it left my place, when she got it the wax had melted and stuck to the bottle.  I still feel terrible about that.

Hey Jeff, this whole time I've been wondering why you had someone fill the globe vs just doing it yourself since you can risk it clouding in shipping (not sure if gookits cloud up) and also gotta pay the expensive shipping for it

I think I'm gonna order a green one...that looks pretty nice when lit.  I'll just have to get a blue one too if they come out with one and sell the Purple/Yellow one maybe at that time.

I had a blue/yellow also but that one had very poor flow and was sent to another member on here to goo kit.  I've only got the purple/yellow currently.

My century is going back...its junk.

Well, I fired up the two Grandes about a hour ago. The green one has flipped and both of the coils are on the side/top. The pink has what looks like a fine dust swirling around in the globe as it heats up. *sigh*.

Some of the wax that was stuck up at the top of the Century has fallen down.

The flipping of the wax exposing the coils is normal, mine did yesterday but when I got back home it was flowing perfectly with the coils in place. The fine dust is not good though :/

Yeah, the fine dust is not a good sign. I've seen that in other China lamps... it's a pre-cursor to it going hazy, I think.

Nope, I said I wanted to glitter it.   I have not even attempted to get that goo off the sides yet.

Oh no.......fingers crossed that won't happen, but I agree.....not a good sign.

Hm i see, theres definitely some white powder/dust looking stuff floating all around there. Im gonna check if mine has it or not, now im scared. And i just got home, my pink grande has been on for 3.5 hours and its spiked, but the wax flipped again, this time it flipped completely, and the coil is exactly above the wax, it should melt and fall down though.

I'm letting both of mine run overnight. We'll see how they are in the morning. Fingers crossed.

Definitely don't like the looks of that, Erin.  But I also don't understand why it has not done that before now.  This is all getting too much to handle with this happening to you and now my green neon with a pea sized blob of goo sticking on the inside of the globe.  It's never done that before either and I've run it several times.

You can let it get really hot, then set the globe down on a table and spin it gently without letting it vibrate or move much, you just wanna spin the globe on its butt so the wax on the side gets pulled off the glass, usually that works for me, sometimes it leaves a pinhead size bit behind but its much better than a pea sized glob which is visible across the room lol!

My century has been on for about 7 hours, its not sticking but all the wax stays up top, i know if i dim it itll just harden, theres like no sweet spot on these. Also the globe is just barely warm after 7 hours when after 5 any other base gets it pretty damn hot.
