Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

My dad has owned this since the 70s and we cant figure out what type it is or who made it. Its got a kind of bronze colour to it but doesn't seem to have a manufactures name on it! i have attached a pic let me know if you have any idea who made it!

Looks to me like a Crestworth Astro Mini (also known as Comet) which was produced in the UK in the 60's and 70's. The cap looks longer than usual though. These normally have a black bakelite base with the Crestworth symbol on however, earlier models didn't have the black base and were 'open'.

yeah you can just make out Crestworth LTD Poole England on the bottom and its a black base.

They were called Astro mini in the 60's but also know as a comet lamp. Not to be confused with the later flared based comet of the early 90's
yep that's what i think it is!
