Caping off a 32oz globe.

I have a few 32 oz globes I've messed with, but what am I

going to do when I want to 'seal the deal' ?

I have thought about balloons, latex gloves, non spermicidal

condoms, corks, rubber stoppers, shrink tube, wire ties.....

What do you guys do ?

I have two 32 oz glitter globes from Kirk and I noticed he

uses a red plug and a bottle cap (luv the USA)

Would Kirk's sealing method work for lava formulas as well ?

Never used a bottle cap device, but what would it take and

You want silicone rubber of some sort.  It is much more long lived than just about any rubber out there and can withstand dampness and heat like the best of them.  Rubber stoppers like those used in a laboratory would work well if you can find a source and the right size.

Bottle cappers can be found anywhere home brewing supplies are found.  But I saw something on the Lava Library about simply using an automotive hose clamp to recrimp the original bottle cap assuming you still have it and it is in good condition.  A bottle cap would probably work best all around unless you have the need to be getting in and out of the bottle (such as to adjust densities and surf content, etc.).

I saw the same thread, but I'm afraid the caps may be distorted and may not seal.  

A plug and new bottle cap would be great, but I've also seen these;

I'm sure where ever you can buy a bottle capper they could also sell you new bottle caps.  Those folding stoppers look great but do you need 100 of 'em?  Bottle caps are probably a cheaper way to go, you could probably salvage a cap from a beer bottle for free if you removed it carefully as illustrated on the Lava Library page.
