has anyone attempted to add glitter to wax?  if so, does it end up looking like a glitterball?  or is something else needed to keep the glitter contained in the wax?

anyone?

DrWHAT and I tested different glitters a few years back. Some worked for a few hours, some worked for a day. None worked with any success. The glitter just ended up settling out from the wax.

thanks, lamphead.  after the glitter settled out from the wax, did mixing the hot wax with the glitter result in the glitter being incorporated back into the wax, even for a short amount of time?

You could get the glitter back in the wax by spinning the bottle. We used several different types of glitter. The thread was deleted but had pics and info on what we used. The bigger glitter settled quicker than the smaller, I had one that was almost a powder. One melted and clumped the glitter on the bottom of the globe so some failure is common lol.
I always wondered what gold or silver leaf would look like.
