Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey everyone, I just wanted to gove this tip for cleaning the outside of the globes free of fingerprints and such: use windex and coffee filters. Coffee filters typically cost a dollar for 100, and they leave a truly streak free shine and no fuzzies compared to a cloth or paper towels. I learned this from my job at Starbucks. We use coffee filters to clean all the windows and glass inside the store. :)

I've heard about cleaning with coffee filters, but keep forgetting!

Excellent pro-tip, I will use this!

WOW, I just tried to clean my globes with a cloth last nite which left a butt ton of lint because I forgot and threw it in the wash with my clothes and some fabric softener.  Once you put fabric softener in any lint free cloth it's toast!!!  I just bought a nice microfiber cloth that says it is safe for polishing glass.  Will not scratch.  I really bought it for the inside of my globes that needed to be cleaned because they fogged up.  Was gonna rig it on a wire hanger.

I also hear that there is a product better then Windex called Invisible Glass!!!  Walmart, Target and stores like that carry it.  You can use it on windows, car winshields and supposedly it makes the glass look invisible.  I'm gonna pick a bottle up tonite.

OooOoo I may need to find this Invisible Glass too!  I wish you could run a wax job or something on the starry globes to get rid of occlusions, I have a globe that I just don't enjoy due to that. Coffee filters sound like a nice wipe, even turn them into little mittens!  I usually use B&W newspaper, it leaves a streak free shine as well.

They used newspaper back in the day! And vinegar and water!! Vox im getting the Invisible Glass 2nite. Gotta make a Wally World run. News at 11 on the new product!

Luv the Invisible Glass and a coffee filter on my globes!!!  Lint free!!!
