Hi
I live in England and wandered if anyone can advise me about the following.
I have atached some pictures of a geyser lamp i forgot i had whilst clearing out items in my loft.
Its been up there for years and never opened until yesterday when i took some pictures of it.
I have not unpacked it or turned it on and was wandering itf it has any value before i decide wether or not to use it. Im guessing it must be at least 7 -8 years old.
Any help is appreciated

Yes, they are somewhat valuable, but shipping them can be dicey. I've heard that many of them broke during shipping. They weren't too expensive to buy, but since many of them didn't make it, they are somewhat valuable now. I've seen them go on eBay for a few hundred bucks, but the market is a little soft now, so maybe less.
I had one successfully shipped to me from another member here: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/photo/geyser-lamp-or-boiler-lamp?context=...;
Hi
Thanks for the reply, maybe i should put it on ebay and give it a go. I would definatley need to find a way to pack it up securley.
Shipping is horrible anymore. I guess it's the workers who just don't give a hoot and throw the packages around!!! For the money we pay to have something shipped, we should feel confident that it's going to make it to its destination in one piece. Guess that's just not so......my rant for the day!!!!
The last one of these on ebay sold for almost four hundred U.S.A. These are very popular with collectors right now. I've never wanted one but keep an eye on them whenever one comes up for auction and cannot believe how many bidders go after them. I've never heard of them being hard to ship. If you place them in the box you have now with a bigger more padded box around it the item should arrive just fine. You can always insure the package.
