I am reading through the whole archive of this site - so many interesting older discussions with lots of useful information.
But there is a big problem with the older threads: Many, many of them seem to miss some of the posts given.
Here, just as an example:
https://oozinggoo.ning.com/forum/topics/my-new-mathmos-astro-pink-c...
The discussion starts with KellyMarie (July 5,2012 at 8:54 am) telling about her new Mathmos astro, which has clouding issues.
Below are all the later posts, in chronological order. The first one is KellyMarie again (July 5, 2012 at 10:51 am), and obviously she replies on something Johric has written before.
But where is Johrics comment???
I found this phenomenon in many threads. Usually it's the first post after the opening text that's missing. But sometimes there are also "holes" in between. (Or at least I think so cause of the references and quotations in the text, that somehow refer to nothing...)
Has anyone any idea why so? Is there any possibility to display the missing comments?
Am I doing anything wrong?

Another strange thing: In most of the older threads there is chronological order upside-down (?), you can read them in the correct chronological order just by scrolling down.
But in some threads it`s the opposite! For example here: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/photo/mid60s-century-greenyellow
Here you have to go to the bottom and then scroll up to read it chronologically.
How can this be?
DATA DECAYS OVER TiME ON TH INTERN T, AFTE A WHIL, HOLE WORDS AN EVEN ENTIR POST DISAPE R. SOM FONTS DECA FAST R THA OTHER.. sMILE FACES TURN TO FR WNS BFORE DISPPEARI.

Posts can be deleted by the poster at a later date and sometimes they can disappear when a member is terminated from the group. Everything associated with that terminated member is gone.

Much great information has been lost when a members account has been closed, but there's still a lot of great stuff here.
Regarding chronological order, normal discussion posts are in order from oldest to newest. However, with photos and blog posts the order is reversed.
Ah, now i understand, that makes total sense...
And well, I'm with Keith, what a pitty :-(
But thanks for the enlightment anyway!
It can happen for a lot of reasons, like Modulo said. Most likely the user left and when they deleted their account, their comments and photos were deleted, too. Or, is the user was banned, same thing. So yes, sometimes you'll see a ghost comment quoted from someone who's no longer a member.
