This lamp has an internal cylinder with witches and bats that is supposed to rotate along with the swirly glitter.

It starts to rotate but gets hung up and stops. I think this may be because some of the mystery liquid has evaporated such that the cylinder is no longer floating.

So my question to anyone who has ever attempted a fix... how do you get this darned thing apart?
I tried to twist the top off but no go. It's a neat Hallloween ornament but LAVA has discontinued it.

Any help appreciated!
