Does anyone have (or could take) some pictures of the newer lamps? Specifically the amethyst and blue/white rock, and psychedelic etc. I haven't bought a colormax in awhile.

90% of the problems I have are with off-brand lamps, 1960 vintage, as well as the last 5 categories. (NECA is an exception)

Even when new in the box

I can almost count on the fact that when I buy one, I need to regoo it within a week.

The few I had issues with from Spencers (2 were obviously used, possible store displays and repackaged to be sold as new) were immediately exchanged for a new lamp without question.

I bought the two I mentioned and ran them last night. There was wax stuck to the sides but that has melted. Flows a little hot, but I like them overall I think. Granted I still hate that they can't get the shrink wrap seamline even close to reasonable. Considering the White and Teal Chrome Lava Lamp - 16.3 Inch or white/rainbow next. Pictures coming soon!

Hmm i bought two displays at spencers...  One was a Zombie 17 inch lamp from 2016.  Has two frosted Zombie hands on it clear water and red wax.  Flows really nicely in long strands i kinda like that goes with the theme.   Spencers has their lamps running for 15 hours a day everyday of the year..  This display is 2 years old and has nothing wrong with it. I offered 20$ for it and he sold it to me.

The other display i bought was the mermaid frosted one,  the water was cloudy and the wax was stuck to the top of the glass. I got it for $15.  I know they sell these still but 35-15$ is a big difference and 4 of the spencers in my area didnt have them and i dont like buying stuff online if i can get it in person.

Just poped the top off, drained it, filled it half way with distilled water shook it around and repeated.  Then filled it near the top. put 3 or so drops of clear shampoo in it, and 1 drop of salt water using aquarium salt and the lamp is clear and runs good.  The wax that was stuck on the glass became unstuck after 2 8 hour uses and now its running like a champ.

I laos bought the last Alien lamp in the picture above, and i bought the Hamsa frosted lamp, and the Dark Magic Lamp, and  some new lamp with a mercury looking base clear liquid and neon green wax.

Here are pics of 6 of my lamps, the neon green one i gave to my mom.  Also fixed my brothers 52OZ lava lamp from 2004.. not included in the picture either.   I want to buy their day of the dead lamp, and the galaxy lamp, they were suppose to have 1 store transfer the lamps, but spencers is lame as heck its been 2 weeks so i might have to drive up there.  I know they dont look super clear but a dark room with a bright light the picture quality goes down.. Maybe ill snap a pic of them on with the bedroom light on.   My favorite ones is the Mermaid one and the Zombie one.
