I learned a very shitty and valuable lesson today for the summer.
I rec'd my red glitter wizard today which i got for a great offer price on ebay.
I went to clean the bottle and it was pretty warm but not hot.
The bottle slipped out of my hands I caught it again and it slipped again only inches from my kitchen floor. The bottle broke up and all the contents spilled all over the kitchen floor.
The cleanup was pretty nasty and unpleasant with glitter and stinky fluid all over the place.
Moral of the story let all items glitter and or lava get to room temp before fiddling with it. For the winter I always let items reach room temp but for the summer I didn't think it would be an issue. The bottle was very thick by the way.
So I have a nice wizard base and cap and no red bottle to go with it. I bought this to go along with my flear market find of a purple glitter wizard which made me instantly fall in love with the glitter wizards.
Such is life, shit happens, but I am still upset as I was very excited to get it and at a great price :(

Oh man, that's hard. I still remember that gutted feeling from some 40 years ago when I was moving my Century from my bedroom to the living room for a while. It was still hot so I was moving quick, I hadn't wrapped up the cord so it was dragging on the ground. My dog stepped on the cord, the whole lamp flew from my hands, the screw top shattered against the wall and all of the contents spattered down the wall onto the carpet (avocado green, lol). My mom was less than please, to say the least!
Save the plastic globe stopper, you can use it with any lava globe for a replacement.
Yes it sucks when something like that happens or something what happened to me but I am now over it I just picked up a wizard in an antique store for $15 green liquid white lava the base has a few dents which I can push out with my finger but I think it was worth it
Green/white is one of the less common colors, but $15 for any wizard now-a-days is not bad at all.
Very good to know I have to get home later and test to see if it actually works in terms of the lava flowing correctly but it looks like it's in good condition I like that the bases are aluminum so you can rub out the dents and small things
Sorry to read of your Wizard woes.
Thanks, I'm over it now. Can't dwell on mishaps.
Does someone have an official listing of the options that Glitter Wizards came in
superb, so the green liquid white lava #28 bottle in my acquired wizard today is not original the wizard lamp. Doesn't matter to me but would just like to know.
Thanks
PS - damn, I so have to get my hands on a clear liquid glitter wizard. I bet they are ultra rare.
The silvers are Ok, I like how they light up a room
I'm going to have 2 Wizards chromed to go with them
I need 2 PInk, Teal, Yellow, and Orange
I think,...
I might already own these glitters in regular lamps already?
I will be able to confirm once I unpack everything
Here are better pics of glitters (silver not included)
