Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

i am thinking of picking up this lava lamp.  Seller has it listed for $40 and he says it is in really good condition.  Price seems good to me.  Can anyone provide any info on this lamp?  I don’t think I’ve ever seen it before.  Thanks!

That is an Excalibur and under 3 feet tall. They go for big money especially in condition like that. Not even cloudy! Wow. I have always wanted one but have trouble finding locally. That’s $100 lamp easy as long as the glass top with the moon isn’t broken. The one issue I had with these is that the globe is like less than a third of the entire lamp. But it’s still big. Go get it!

AGREED. I've yet to own one of my own

Claude, that metallic is nice!  I am gonna have to get one of those customs one day since I don't think I will be working with the goo kits anytime soon.  I am surprised that you don't have one, so the metallic is a commission?

Yup, set to pick it up this weekend.  The thing looks like a fish tank, I would be curious how long it takes to get the lava flowing.

I appreciate all the info from everyone!

Yes, it was a commission to the supplier of the metallic goo.

I do own custom metallics-just not an Excalibur.

If you think the Excalibur is large, wait until your grande arrives

Metallic goo is rare and seldom available.

I'm working on some resources of my own to make it more available to everyone but the chemical makeup is somewhat toxic and requires specialized  techniques to work with

Awesome to hear you are working on your own metallic goo.  Is there anyone passionate than you re lava lamps??  :)  I know my son will want a metallic when I show this post to him!

I didn't realize the grande was 27 inches!  and larger than Excalibur.  I can't wait to get my lamps from you.

Check your email

Thank you for the compliment

Wizard is on its way the grande will be shipped tomorrow

Finally coordinated a time with the seller and picked up this lava lamp Excalibur.  The flow is amazing, there is one small crack at the top.  However, worth my 3.75 hours of drive time through LA traffic on a Friday afternoon!

crack is hardly noicable

Yup, doesn’t bother me.  Not sure if I did it on the way over or if it was already there but got a good deal on it so I’m a happy camper.  By the way, my color changing grande arrived, Claude!  I’m dead tired but need to unpack it, can’t wait to show it off!

Bought one with red lava in Uk for £20. One of my best buys ever. A gtreat lamp with great flow. Does need a new bulb though!
