After I filter a lamp and before I add the master fluid back into the globe, do I need to add SURF to the sides of the globe?

Are you completely cleaning and scouring out the inside of the bottle? If so I have always pre-rinsed the inside of the bottle with a surf/distilled water mixture before adding any wax to prevent sticking. Sometimes it still sticks even then!
If the bottle has just been emptied of old master fluid and the wax never left the bottle and the bottle’s inside walls remain as they were then you can probably get away with just adding back the new master fluid.
Hope this helps you.

Deepening on how it was filtered, I would suggest adding a drop or two of surf as insurance. Last thing you want is it to stick
