Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi folks!
I already read on the website about adding aquadest to the lamp so I tried it after the lamp did not move even after 3 hours of heating.
Okay, the level looks fine but the lamp still looks the same (see pic).
As I see it should be red wax in a yellow liquid.but I dont even have a clue whether the yellow liquid is okay as it looks a bit foggy.
The lamp type is a mathmos astro with 40W bulb.

Any hints or ideas? May I tune the liquid or should I replace it completely?

it looks quite foggy, reminds me of a vintage that I added water to. I think your liquid is done for, but wait for someone who knows more than I do to reply.
hm, the clear/white looks very good, indeed. But it seems it is not available as a spare part?
But looking throught the spare parts list it seems to me I may have the wrong bulb. My bulb is perfect round as the figures on the mathmos website shows a top flat shaped bulb. Maybe the right bulb would do a different heating?
Hi I succeeded in replacing the fluid. It works great. costs:2€ time 2 hours net time.
I attached some pics.

Going to try to add some colour later...

Cheers!
