Hi there, I'm looking to buy certain colours of the Astrobaby-Glitterbabies produced by Mathmos. If anyone is selling any in the UK, please get in touch with what you have and how much money you would like including p&p to send to Yorkshire. You can send me a message via this site or comment on this thread.
No problem. I wanted to know how much money you would take for them both, if I collected them from you and paid cash on collection and not paid you through paypal.
Well they are listed at £34.99 each at the moment. 2 have sold over the past week for that figure so it will only be a matter of time before the other 2 go. I would be willing to take a small hit on the price if you bought the 2. They are in spotless condition by the way. Please feel free to message me with an offer.
UPDATE: Well, now we're only looking for (I think, unless there are any more colours I don't know about)
Plain silver. (sliver in clear liquid)
Dark blue. (sliver in dark blue liquid)
Pink. (silver in pink liquid)
When our three new lamps arrive we will have the following:
Silver with clear liquid and green base
Silver with clear liquid and red base
Silver with violet liquid and red base
Silver with yellow liquid and amber base
Silver with turquoise liquid
I understand that there were only five colours made :) How many variations of those five colours were there then please? IE; silver one with red painted base, green painted base. The turquoise one we have coming from the photo is very turquoise, don't see how it could have ever been dark blue and faded.
Is there a yellow one without the amber coloured base?
I would still like the silver without the painted base and the pink and a really dark blue one lol.
The variations are confusing me lol. I would like to know how many variations there were :)
They are certainly great lamps, I cannot make up my mind which colour I like the best, it's between the silver ones with the painted base and the yellow one :) Hubby likes the blue one the best :)
Like you say, you could easily custom paint the bases to give yourself different colour combinations etc. When they first came out, I can remember looking at two of the silver ones with painted bases in the Discovery Store in Leeds, I liked them the best because you get the extra dimension with the silver squares giving you the effect that the silver squares are two colours :)
