Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

i have a clear/orange fluidium. the liquid looks like it's tinged with orange. doe this mean some of the dye has leaked? if so, will filtering fix this? or should i replace the liquid with distilled water etc from a gooo kit

I have 2 clear/green fluidiums and both of them are turning green. They are also a little cloudy. How many watts is the lightbulb you are using? You can use a 25 watt bulb, but it will take a long time to get flowing. I have a feeling 40 watt bulbs cause the dye to leak and cloud the globe. Whats odd is my fluidium came with a 40 watt halogen lightbulb, which is obviously too hot.

I think they have to sell newer 'grener' bulbs so are sending halagon lamps insted.

I gues if you realy want to deal with it you would have to do a water change on it - I have seen this methord which may work

My 1st generation orange is the same, and some times bits of the wax stick to the bottle.

My 1st generation yellow is nice and clear.

2nd gen. i do have a 1st gen that is cloudy and a few other colors/globes that need filtering, interesting you say not to

this orange one i'm talking about is clear, just tinted orange
