Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi guys, today i received a blue wizard with a pink/white globe.. i lit it up and it melted and all but lava wont really flow.. it rises to about 1/4 of the globe thats out of the base and then just stays there or goes back down and rises again. its definately not enough heat. i switched this globe with another globe on a normal 32oz base and the pink/white globe flowed perfectly and the one that was put on the wizard stopped flowing in like 3 minutes and acted the same way as the pink/white.. how can i fix this? the socket for wizard lamps is small so i cant put a big normal 40watt bulb in it.. the bulb it has is a 40watt bulb but its smaller than normal...

yep i just did that.. gonna try it out... i think it might be too close to the globe.. ill test it out.. if it is ill just push it back down.. at first it was way up too high cause the globe wouldnt even sit right.. it was touching it.. but now it seems fine...
