Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi people, just purchased a green fluidium and immediately struck by how lime the case and wax is ! On inspection, find this has a modified 2 pin plug fitted - original, making it a non UK model. Question is, did Mathmos use different greens depending on market ? Item is the later bold logo mark 2 model.

Thoughts please.

tbh I think they didnt use different colours on purpose, it just happened somehow...just like the glitterball which is in between of blue and green, but deffo not a regular blue or green. Maybe they didnt clean the tanks between batches and maybe your fluidium was one of the first green ones after they had a yellow batch done.

Like the theory of the yellow residue Arne, would account for it. Have owned a few of the other colours but only one green so nothing to compare to - really like the lime green though, very retro !
