Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Any suggestions for getting rid of water bubbles?

I restored this lovely old Century two years ago from scratch but in the past couple of months it’s been getting increasingly full of water bubbles in the lava.

I've tried the "heat until melted, power off, settle, and swirl" technique, as well as the repeated "heat until melted, turn off, repeat", as well as just leaving it on for long periods of time. Nothing seems to be helping reduce the water bubbles.

The PH of the fluid has changed creating bubbles as the wax rolls over the coil
Try a little vinegar or the commercial strength here; https://lavalabcreations.com/products/wax-debubbler
