Hi Guys!!
I'm Simon from the U.K. Although I am into lava, I am also into "French boilers" in a BIG way! (I don't own one yet, but at least I know where to search now!! ;) ....DETERMINED to have one, one day!! I will be on the part of this forum called "we love french boilers" , that's probably where you will find me the most!! (I collect vintage Handboilers...at least I have one or two of those!!)
Jonas, you are a STAR for putting up such a huge collection of beautiful photos of things that I have only ever seen "in the flesh" ONCE!! (when I was 13! ....Now 49!!)....They left such an impression on me at the time and I have wanted one ever since. (your annotated list is, to put it mildly INCREDIBLE!!).... OK, I am also into moving sandpictures in a big way...as made by my dear friend in austria Klaus Boesch. (I collect the BIG ones...currently 6!)....I also have a rare "sand lamp" which works on the same principle as a regular sand-picture but is "tubular" with a lamp at the base. When you turn the tubular section over, (with the sand-water-and air in it) it starts to make a new 360% "scene" of mountains and valleys etc.
It's the "sand-picture version of a lava lamp!! (can take 24 hours to make one "scene"...always illuminated from the back and below by the lamp-base! Am also into radiometers. But as said before, I am into LAVA TOO!!
Guess that's it for now!!
Happy goo-in!!

She was a "mathmos mini" with gold-bronse top and bottom...pinkish-cherryish liquid and cherryish lava....a beautiful performer!!
