Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

First background on the lamp. I bought this century about a year ago cloudy and very sticky. I cycled it  first to clear it and then dumped everything after and used degreaser for the sticking. Now it flows and is beautiful, except for on thing. It goes into a state similar to an egg except it is on one side. I have done the method where you spin the lamp and it makes it flow for a few minutes but goes back to the bad egg. It is not the bulb because i have tried frosted, semi frosted, and clear 40 and even a 60 clear. I think its the coil but i would love some reassurance before opening the lamp.

Seems like a sticking problem to me still. Looks like some slight sticking is causing the wax to flow towards that area where it is building up.
The problem ... It's not a Mathmos.. Lol ;-)

whenever i twirl it I don't see any wax that is stuck to the sides.
