The "top" doesn't come off! It's a chain attatched to the globe, the cone top slides up, no way to refill it. Sorry.

Looks like it has a "heat shield" above the candle to stop the flame leaving black marks all over the bottle - good thinking... I like it :)

That is a wonderful idea, poorly executed. I would have liked to see it in a baroque style with gold, totally over the top. :-)
