Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Here is century I bought week ago. Lady said wax would not pop. Tried adding some PG, no joy, increased to 50 watt bulb..no joy. As you can see from pic, there is a bunch of debris that rises to the top of the wax and just sits there. Wax is hot and moving, just not rising. Seems like wax does not solidify when it cools down. Should I dump wax skim off the debris and see if it solidifies. Then rewarm it put it back in clean vessel and start with fresh distilled h2o? Thanks for any info in advance.

Think I will do that Tim, take the thing apart clean vessel/lava and coil and see if I can get it to rise. Won't cost me anything....just time. Will report results.

Could be a idea to clean up the wax and the globe and then redo the water but it could be that the wax is just shot so you may have to dump the lot and goo kit.
