Michael replied to Rory's discussion 2007 Coach Lantern?
"That is indeed strange, I couldn't get mine down far enough to put the screws back on over any of my US 52oz globes. Could be a QC size irregularity. Either way, I love running the heritage globe on it. "

Michael replied to Rory's discussion 2007 Coach Lantern?
"The switch actually is just an on/off switch. Still a pretty cool lamp. The only downside to it is that the cap is small enough that you can't run a US 52oz globe on it, only China globes. I switched out the purple/yellow for the red/yellow…"

Michael replied to Keith's discussion Grande globes wanted
"It's funny you should mention that. I like Santa a lot more with a green/white globe. Kind of emphasizes that Christmas tree look. Currently, the red/blue is cycling on my desk on a Silver Streak. It's an interesting combo, but a little…"

Night of the Hunter

This is a group for those who have an interest in the so-called Hunter lava lamps named after their founder, Mr John Edward Hunter who attempted a patent on his Sata-Lite model in c. 1970. Later version was called the Sparkle-Lite using glittery strands in the liquid. They came in various designs but more or less one size and with only one bottle type but numerous colour combos in both wax and sparkly strands to glitter.

Yeah I used to trawl this site a lot for years but without ever posting, mainly checking out gooey matters and the gallery. All the old American lava lites fascinated me (and still do)!
