if yiu should ever agree to trade a base for a bottle or so make sure to mention you want the caps for the bases too! I just got two bases without caps which are totally useless to me and the answer I got was: you never said you want the caps too...well...aret they part of the base? maybe I'm the idiot gere but I would have never thought if mentioning that as have taken it for granted.

On the Crestworth Lamps, the chrome cap is glued on the bottle cap, which is fixed on the bottle.

So it is definitively part of the bottle.
