I can't offer any advice i'm afraid, but I also have a lunar which has a few minor dents, nothing bad enough to detract from the sheer beauty of it though I would be interested to hear the advice given by the forum's more experinced members.

BTW are you gonna post any pics? what colour is the bottle? I have clear/red, clear/white, and soon to come a clear/blue!! I just need more actual bases now :(

I'm not familiar with the lunar and don't know what gauge or how heavy the metal is, but I have removed many a dent my massaging it out from inside, using something of a hard plastic as it slides across the metal well. I use mostly disposable lighters because the bic's have a nice curve to them which fits the roundness very well. If the metal isn't to heavy you can work out the dents slowly and you will barely notice anything there. If it is heavy metal then it is going to be much more difficult. you could put it on your carpeted floor and using a piece of wood with a tip about the size of the dent and a light hammer lightly and very carefully tap it out, then try to massage the rest. If you want it perfect then after you can sand the metal with 280grit or close sand paper to remove any distortion while massaging it out from inside as you go. be careful not to sand thru, but after its smooth again you will have to polish it out on a bench buffer and it will be perfect again. This is only a technique, and again I have not tried it on a lunar nor have I actually beheld a lunar in person(yet), but this is what I have done on several lamps, all my polished lamps had dents to some degree, thats why they got polished. hope this helps!
