I ordered a 14 inch red liquid/white wax lamp and a 17 inch Clearview clear liquid/pink wax lamp from Spencer's and they both have cloudy liquid. Is there a good way to clear it up, or should I try replacing the liquid, and if so, how do I go about doing said replacing?

Hmm. Okay. I figured as much. I'll probably keep the red one because it looks pretty good despite the cloudiness, but the Clearview is unworkable. I'm just annoyed about it because I bought these online because my local Spencer's did not have them, so getting a replacement is going to require ordering off the Web again.

These are chinese made lamps, and from my experience don't clear up on their own from running like the USA made ones often do. I would see about exchanging them, and if not, water, fog machine fluid and a little bit of miracle bubbles seems to work as a replacement fluid.
You can dump and refill. I've done it with a 14" China made lamp and a few lamps from the 60s. Here are my notes: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/forum/topics/lava-soup-replacing-the-liquid
How did you color the liquid?
