As far as I can find no one actually stated an amount except for the 52s'. Earlier today I combined 2 20 oz globes into a 32. I used all the wax and ended with about 6 oz. of liquid left over. Now I think I probably need to remove an ounce or ounce and a half of wax and put some of that liquid back. After
6 hours warmup, no flow just a big undulating dome. It stayed between 127 and 130 degrees for over 3 hours so I assume it got hot enough. The only thing that changed was the ratio of wax to liquid, nothing was changed chemically. Opinions? Does any one know the secret amount when you don't have a measurement on the globe to start with?

Well a quart is enough for a 250oz grande, and a 32oz lamp is about 1/8th of that, but I've gotten about 6 32oz globes out of one quart of goo, so, a little over half a cup is usually good. I usually hold the new kitted globe up against another globe of the same type, to gauge the amount of goo. I would probably use exactly half a cup for a 20oz globe.
Thank you Loren. I have definitely been using too much. I had about 6 oz wax in a 20 oz globe and almost 8 oz in a 32, They both were hard to get moving and the 20 is very picky about temp.
