Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi all I was thinking of creating my own colour combos I like the colour yellow but the ones I've had from mathmos are way bright I was thinking maybe adding the liquid colour blue or violet has anyone done this or any helpful answers are most welcome the lamp I'm thinking of doing this for is a crestworth copper astro mini

Candle wax or liquid dye works fine.
Remember, darker colors are highly effective and a little goes a long way in tinting the wax

Lava Lite's blue/green lamps are really blue/yellow. It's going to look green except for blobs pressed right against the glass.

You are correct, and the color intensifies as the goo raises to the top due to more fluid between the goo and the light source.

I think he is talking about the brilliant yellow mathmos goo

Tame it down in two ways, 

Dye the fluid

or

Dye the wax
