I have a couple crappy modern spencers lamps that aren't worth turning on anymore, and I want to use them for experimentation. Problem is, I have no idea how I would reseal it without a bottle capper.
So what's everyone's weapon of choice? Is it literally just a standard "beer" bottle capper?

I don't know to be honest. I bought these for my glitter lamp projects. They clamped tightly and contained the smell of the perchloroethylene. I don't know how well they will hold up long term though. If they ever fail I'll update this post.

Standard cappers don’t work.
and yes, the thickness of the bottle works fine.
