Hi,
I found a pair of what I think are Fantasia glitters at an antique mall this weekend. They look like ones I have seen here but they do not have a color wheel and the lids don't want to come off. They are 16" tall x 3" dia. and the bases are about 5" dia. They have a green felt and a blue UL Portable Lamp sticker on the bottom.
My questions are what are they, make and model? What bulbs should they have, both have cylinder shaped bulbs with a rounded top about 1" long. One has a 15w and one has a 25w. How do the lids come off, are they screwed on or glued? Someone might have glued the lids on.
The pic doesn't do them justice they are a beautiful silver color not as yellow as the pic looks. Thanks.

wow..they are so pretty!...lucky ducky ;)
They are made by Fantasia. I don't know that they had a specific name. They are somewhat rare and worth some bucks. Mine, when I had it, the lid didn't come off either. Could've been stuck on there from time or just not meant to come off. I'm not sure.
Look here for more pics: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/photo/photo/search?q=fantasia
I've had several of these. They're definately made by Fantasia and are from the late 70's/early 80's. Not sure if there was a model name for them. The lids are glued on. Because they are filled with the old fast perc formula, they really don't need that much heat to flow. I wouldn't use more than 25 watts on these and will work with as little as 15 watts.
