(Potassium (E,E)-hexa-2,4- dienoate) = Potassium sorbate is an anti-mold and yeast inhibitor and an anti-fungal chemical for cheeses. It is the potassium salt of sorbic acid, a naturally occurring microbial compound. And it is used as a preservative.
It is a mild preservative compound used as an alternative to the chemical paraben to manufacture cosmetics and skin care agents.
