Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I have an old wave machine that was sitting on my oak bookshelf that started leaking.  I wiped it up and washed the wood and other items that the liquid touched but they keep developing some crystallization where the liquid was.  How do I clean this up permanently?

I think you should take it to Hughes, a Wave Machine restoration company in Philadelphia.  He will fix it up
