"AFAIK, no, it isn't. The plug you see was glued in, I think using acrylic glue. If that's correct, the glue temporarily liquefies the plastic; when it solidifies, both pieces are now really one piece."

- My First Lava Lamp was:
- My parents had a lava lamp that I always liked. They still have it but don't use it. I'm hoping to get them to let me have it as I think it is a gold century with the red lava in yellow fluid. I saw a dragon lava lamp at Spencers a little while ago and being a dragon lover I had to get it. It piqued my interest in lava lamps again and I have since acquired a "few" more. I love them.

I'm a dragon nut too. And yep, I've got the same lamp as you. You said "a few" lamps....so how many is "a few"? I say that I "only have a couple" but that actually means 50 or so. What a tangled web we weave....
