Is this a desireable icon lamp? Planets and stars

I found this one but I don't know a lot about icons.  Is this a desireable one?  I can get it for a really good price.

The Galactic is one of the more rare and expensive Icons.

It is definitely desirable and worth buying especially at a good price.

If you can get it for a good price then go for it now - any icons are desirable, even if you don't want it you will surly make some money from it

I think the most desirable ones are the Halloween ones and the aliean one - thoes would be my top ones to get

It is about 50 miles away but the price is so attractive I could probably trade it for an icon (Santa or Pumpkin) that I really want without too much trouble I'd think.  The price is silly attractive.

I would temper your expectations on finding a willing trade partner.  The Icons are a bit of a niche subset of lava lamps - some people love them and some people hate them.  If someone is looking for a Galactic they are likely Icon collectors and won't be looking for an apples for apples trade.  They are looking to fill a gap in their Icon collection, not looking to fill a gap by creating another gap.  Your better hope would be to try to trade for a nice Century or Aristocrat.

Or, pick up the Galactic with the desire to add the Galactic itself to your collection.  It is indeed one of the cooler Icons.

Got it!  It is in beautiful shape too, no chips or cracks, just a little dusty.  The only thing better would be if it had come with a box.  I'll post a photo when it is warmed up.

Been doing a little poking around.  The one I got came with a clear/lavender-blue globe.  Not sure that is original to the lamp.  Did different color combos come out or should this one have a lavender/white globe?  Either way, the base and the topper are perfect!
