Lava and glitter...shaken, not stirred.

I have an idea in my head (feel free to post this rare occurance on the closest calendar). I want to have GLITTER LAVA! Has anyone out there done any kind of glitter-lava mix? Would it even flow, or would I just be ruining two lamps?
I could strain the glitter from an existing lamp.....
Or, add my own (think school dept. glitter at WM).
Would any of this work?
If anyone has any ideas, please give me a heads-up!
