Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I'm always noticing different shelving ideas for lamp display.  I thought I might as well share them.

Here's one example:

I always think "CORDS" when I look at ways to display lava!!!  Some of those displays are great, but some show too much cord.  I have a nice wall unit where I could make a hole or holes in the back made to look like wood cardboard stuff and run my wires through that so you don't really see them.  They need to make a rechargeable cordless lava lamp like they make power tools....oh wait LL can't even get a 20 oz lamp right let along a rechargeable one, lol!!!

Charge for 20 hours for 2 hours of use, oh wait, not long enough to run a lamp!

I've thought of putting two of these together to make a half circle display

Haaa Keith......especially a Grande!!!  2 hours just to see a blip go up.....lol!!  Hey, I like that idea above.  Those 1/2 circles would be spot on for a corner display also!!  You could stick the cords through the back and hide them in the crease of the corner bead of the wall!!!  You also don't have a butt ton of openings in the back like with the other shelving so you wouldn't see the cords as bad.  I just looked at that other one though.  If you had that against the wall and ran your cords all through the back and kind of hid them behind the lamps that were below it would probably look fine.  I need to get a better display for my room also.  I have shelves but they are just blah...nothing cool or fancy....

I always thought it would be cool to have a passage behind a big full wall set of shelves so all

the cordage and power strips could go back there.  And of course all the lamps would have

built in dimmers!

Even better!  Very smooth and totally finished.  Love the projector finishing touch.

I used to work at a booze distributor and you can acquire some cool display shelves at liquor stores. One I never got (which had perfect 18.5" height between each of its four shelves) was for Crown Royal. It was a canoe shaped shelf with white on the outside, polished wood rails, and crown purple shelves. It was sooooo pretty!

Here is one I did get that it a perfect shelf for some lava lamps....

Good, clean flow to you, my friends,

Jeff
