Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

We inherited a lava lamp from my grandparents.  Nothing too special or unusual...a simplex 8200-N gold base with red lava.  It has a lot of sentimental value.  Unfortunately, the "lava" no longer works.

We found lots of web sites with formulas and do-it-yourself, but we're just not that comfortable trying it ourselves.  We'd happily ship/insure it and pay someone if they'd be willing to try to give it new red "lava" goo.  Obviously, it is taking a risk and asking a lot, and we'd be paying way more than a new lava lamp would cost, but it is worth it to us.

If anyone out there with experience with making their own goo successfully is willing to help us out, please drop a note regarding price/etc. to Richard at mccoyrh@aol.com

Thanks in advance,

Richard
