Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Looking for Grim Reaper, Clown, Devil, Jack-o-Bats or Alien!

Hello all,

I am a poor, deprived soul who has never owned a lava lamp and I am looking to change this ASAP! I have fallen in love with the grim reaper but would be absolutely thrilled to have devil, bones, jack-o-bats, alien or clown as well, or possibly some other Halloween-y one. Only thing is I can't afford more than $150 including shipping (I am in the SF Bay Area). Please help a ghoul out! <3

Serious good luck finding these lamps for 150.00 plus shipping.  UPS runs 45.00 plus 10-15.00 for insurance to mail the lamp. As of late any one of these lamps on auction sites go for 250.00 - 500.00 depending on the day and the design of the lamp.  When I'm asked to appraise one of these bad-boys in excellent-clean condition - easily 300.00 plus excluding shipping fees.  If the lamps in Medium condition with some scratches or small chips as in 1/8 or less...take 50.00 to 100.00 off.  If it's cracked or broken and glued back together with minimal damage - 100 or less plus shipping.  Always make sure to ask seller to send you pictures of the lamp in full flow mode. If you save 25.00 for the next few months and combine with what you already have - you may soon own the lamp of your dreams only you'll have to pay a little more as these collector lamps keep going up every month. Good luck amigo.  :)

Good grief!  How much do the NIB Jack-O-Bats and Reaper lamps go for these days?  It’s been a long time since I’ve bought or sold anything apparently!

I would suggest looking on Ebay - Category - Icon Lava Lamp

Many times the Icon's come up for less and there are times when you see them listed for 1000.00 like the Diablo, Alien. NIB is going to run a lot of cash and Super Rare. It's hard enough to find a lamp in  t's original box to begin with and I've seen original boxes come up for $50-100.00 on EBay and it's just the empty box. It's also Super Rare to see empty original boxes come up for auction.  It might seem a bit insane price wise.  When you think of it only so many were made back then and not as many collectors as there are today.  Not sure if this site lists how many of each of the Icon lamps were made.  I think I've seen it posted in the archives somewhere sometime ago.  It's artwork that keeps going up in value and they are becoming more scarce as many get broken by everyday use like I've done when displaying my lamps. I've accidentally dropped one or two of mine and it's heartbreaking for a day or two before I get over it.  No dropped Icons yet.  I've also noticed less Icons coming up on websites for sale.
