Mathmos Smart Astro, anyone received one yet?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has received their pre-order of a Mathmos Smart Astro yet. I ordered mine back in the middle of September and I've not received mine as yet. Hopefully they will be coming out soon, I paid for two as I ordered them.

I will not place a pre-order again either, for a number of reasons.

I'm sure you will be pleased with your lamps when they do arrive though, I'm pleased I purchased mine.

i thought they had sold out so how will you get one? and if sold out will they make one up with a limited edition number on it

Lol, @ Jim, you must have ordered from Electric Planet - we ship by Fedex and include sweets in the parcels. I remember you were one of the lucky ones to order Smart Astros from us before they went out of stock :)

mine doesn't smell, it does flow slower than the astro baby though.

What i like is that they changed the cap. they glued something in so that the cap is centered now and doenst wobble.

I didn't like mine at first because It didn't flow very well the lava would only go half way up the bottle but it seems much better now. I think it was a combination of the cold weather and the newness of the lamp. Hope I don't have any problems like everyone else.

i have a little gap around my base where the bottle sits in, mathmos email said it was spose to be like that

They flow better after a few runs. I wasn't sure about our lamps at first. But, after three or four runs they were flowing better. All but one bottle which was forming lots of tiny bubbles no matter which base I tried it on.

I'm really hoping that these lamps will be OK, I'm really pleased with them now, so much so I went back to purchase another one.

Regards the gap around the bottle, I've got a very small gap between the bottle and base on one of the lamps. The others there's no gap.

EM, do you guys ship with the box upright? what's the most you'd recommend ordering from you guy, i live in the US

We ship the lamps in boxes marked 'This Way Up' and 'Fragile' although it can never be guaranteed that the courier adheres to the request.
Shipping to the US takes 1 day to the East Coast and 2 days to other areas. Costs are lower than they used to be - approx £24.99 for an Astro and £34 ish for two. If you ever want to see how much something would cost, you can just add it to the cart and select the US from the drop-down country list. No obligation to go ahead at that stage so you can have a play with it as much as you like.

Does anyone know when the 2nd batch will be available for sale?

 

Will they be the same? Any improvements, etc.?

 

They are very expensive :(
