just curious if anyone has swiched bottles on the 2 different bases, as in pink on the yellow-green led base etc etc, also would normal astro bottle work? or a jet bottle

"bulbs dont last like they used to, ive bought lots of them so called halogen bulb ( inside a golf ball type bulb ) saying last 2 years, its more like 2 months :-( wouldnt mind but 4 quid for 2 bulbs is bit steep "

"oh well that told me 26 years of collecting and restoring mathmos etc from glued bakelite tops to glass to metal screw bottle tops gone down the plug hole. now if it was say the copper part then i wouldnt suggest a metal tool as that would be stupid"

"they mention on the website the bottle is sprayed so not to turn it around in the base as it will scratch, im tempted but if its only a limited item how long before you cant get a replacement bottle :-("

"most of them will unscrew with a bit of force, id suggest a rubber texture glove and a good twist, you can place the bottle upside down in a deep jug with boiling hot water, take the chill of the mathmos bottle first like leave in a bowl of warm…"
