new to site, not sure if this is the right forum 4 this, but can anyone help me identify this lamp?

can anyone identify this glitter lamp? i won it on auction on ebay for $18, but seller didn't give much info. said it was a glitter lite by MME inc or something? but i have searched that on google and havent found anything really. they showed a picture of the box that was just really plain, with a pic of the lamp and glitter decorations and it just said glitter lite. they also said it was new in box. didn't give any info on the size of it really or anything.

Hi Kaity, welcome to OG! I would say that glitter belongs to the Hot Rocks line. They were part of Creative Motion, I believe, and also built wax lava lamps as well as plasma discs in the 90's. That glitter model looks cool!

Unfortunately I have zero experience with the Hot Rocks line. I do have plasma items made by that company and they are top notch! I know others have experienced a good time when it comes to Hot Rock lamps, I do believe they run better than  China Lava Lamps made today.

do you have any idea on how to open these things? i have this glitter one and just got a lava one, blue/yellow, and there is wax all stuck inside the globe and looks nasty and i need some help. i posted a thread about this in problems and questions with pics and stuff if anyone can help!
