Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

THANKS, OOZING GOO FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND INTEREST OVER THE YEARS!

Mandatory post update is MANDATORY.

In addition to the modded lamps that I have been selling, I will soon be offering slow glitter in LOOSE form (not contained in one of my lamps)! A lot of you have been asking for a long time now. The glitter contained in that liquid can be ANY shape you choose, and many colors, including prismatic!

But for right now, you can design your perfect lamp in lava or glitter, at the following rates:

$40 per regular glitter

$45 for replacement color glitter

$50 for lava

$55 for Custom cut glitter in any shape

Post here or in a PM (you'll need to send me a friend invite first) with your color choices. Please also state whether you want a lava lamp or a glitter lamp. I also now offer replacement glitter in 14 colors! There is an additional charge of $5 per lamp for that, but the custom color combinations are almost limitless.

ALSO...I am finally taking orders for custom cut glitter! I can also do cut glitter in virtually ANY SHAPE, so let me know if you want something special! Higher rates apply if you need me to render your design from scratch, but not by much.

- I will make a mockup of the lamp that you requested if you would like, so that you can see it. Then, we'll both be sure we're on the same page, as far as what you want.

- This will be on a first-come, first-served basis, but orders requiring anodizing will have to be skipped temporarily. I hope to be able to mod several lamps in a day, so don't despair too much if you are down pretty far on the list!

- I have a set list of paint colors, but if you really want a color that is not listed, just tell me what color you want, whether you want matte, gloss, satin, metallic, satin, or fleckstone paint...I'll see if I can find it. I know that matte and metallic colors are harder to find in variety though, so be aware of that. I can also seal your glossy lamp with a matte sealer, if you like.

- Once you have made your final decisions, you can send payments to my paypal address. I will then begin work immediately on your order,

Please note - I STILL am not currently equipped to handle anodizing...only unpainted silver bases, and painted ones until then. If you want metallic blue, red, grey, gold, silver, bronze, amber, or black, and do not want to wait, I have metallic paint in those colors. Just state your desires in your post. :)

This order is a statement that you intend to buy, but I'm not a nazi. I understand that life sometimes throws curve balls at us all. Only, if you have to cancel, please do it as soon as you can, to decrease the chances that I've made your order already!

How about a metallic purple base with purple liquid and orange lava... Or if that's too dark, orange liquid and purple goo!

I'd suggest you use PayPal and just let everyone send you gifts... Should cut down on the fees!

I agree with Autumn - I was paying someone overseas for lamps thru paypal without involving ebay - They would send me an invoice through paypal and I would just say I was paying for goods or services - there was never a question.  Cheaper and hopefully easier for you.

Autumn - You make a persuasive argument. LOL! And yeah. As long as paypal doesn't have limits to the number of gifts you can give or receive per month or anything...why not?

I just found an online invoice template. It looks great, and I think it will work just fine. It says what you bought, how much it was, and how much was added for shipping. So what I'll do tonight, is send out invoices to the people whose orders are completed, and when I receive payment, I'll send your lamp immediately. When a lamp is complete I'll photograph it with flash & without and post it, then pack it up so that it's ready to go tomorrow. I've already finished Erin's, Derek's, 2 for Mattmos, and Carlos' is close. I had to re-do the globe because the color changed! I'm not used to some of these dyes yet, and all of them have their little quirks. You really almost can't screw them up...meaning, no matter what, they look good...but when you're going for a specific color, sometimes it takes a bit of trial and error.

So, I guess those people can send me the addresses they want to use for paypal, and I'll send the invoices to them (except Erin, which I need to do a different way to determine shipping).

Oh! And sorry Kelly! I neglected to respond to your post.

I have metallic purple paint available right now, or you can wait until I finish getting the anodizer set up...shouldn't be too much longer! I've got a friend helping out. :)

In the meantime, do you want me to show you what those might look like?

How did it change?  Post a pic...I might like it and save you the trouble!...lol

Yes please! I'd like to see them both.

Still working on that, Kelly...sorry I'm so late!

Also, I've sent off Erin's lamp yesterday. :) I hope you like it, Erin!

Everybody else, I've sent an invoice. It has a date on it, but whenever you can pay is cool. Also, please PM me your mailing address so that I can send your lamp(s)!

[EDIT] Carlos is the only one I have not sent an invoice to. Send me your email and mailing addresses, Carlos!

Thanks! :)

Here these are...I honestly think that both of these would look better as an actual lamp, but these previews don't look very good. In any case, the orange liquid brings out the red in the purple, making it look a bit violet to pink. The blue in the purple liquid dulls down the orange a little bit, but I think it would still be bright enough.

Personally, I think a black base with purple or orange lava and clear liquid would look good for halloween, or orange liquid and white wax, or orange liquid and black wax.

Wait...What about a metallic purple base, black wax, and orange liquid?

...just a serving suggestion. :p

Sorry, Carlos...I didn't see this post before.

I actually forgot to take a picture of it before I "fixed" it. I say that in quotes because...well. LOL! Turns out it wasn't broken. :p I don't want to use up the life in anybody's bulbs, so I was using my own bulb...which came 2nd hand from ebay. It was a dingy yellow from cigarette smoke, and when the gookit lava went translucent, it was picking it up...the lava was aqua, rather than light blue. But so was my second batch, which had a TINY bit more blue in it. It turned out purple. @_@

Turns out it was that bulb the whole time. I put in a new bulb to test, and the colors are true. Well...the aqua was never really there, so I'm just going to send the original lamp. The lamp that looks purple, however, is another story. That blue is one of those colors that's totally different at lower and higher concentrations. At very low concentrations, it's light blue. A little more blue and it's bright purple, a little more blue and it's deep blue. It's crazy, but kinda cool! And when I say "purple", well...it's a rich, vibrant purple when the lava is molten, otherwise it just looks blue. Isn't that weird? It doesn't want to show up in pictures from my camera, but it's definitely purple.

So yeah...the pictures you see are of the same lamp with 2 different bulbs. You will be getting a brand new bulb.

Oh yeah! and whenever you send me your email address, I can send you an invoice. It will reflect the new (lower) shipping amount! Yay.

I would like a purple metallic base, with a clear liquid glitter lamp. Thankyou

Whoops. Sorry kinda goofed!

Sorry jack! I don't know why I don't get every response alert in my email...

But yes, I can do that for you. :)

I have a spray paint that will work in purple, or you can get it anodized purple in a couple of weeks when I get that up and running, hopefully.

Just let me know! In the meantime, here's a preview for you:
