Hey All -

I'm struggling to locate a replacement bulb for my Astro Baby. I'm in the US and am searching for the #'s printed on my stock bulb: GU10 240V 28W.

Might anyone have recommendations for a place to get a replacement bulb?

Save this seller as he has all kinds of  different bulbs for Mathmos

Also, he will contact you via eBay to make sure you understand these are 220V bulbs since your address will be in USA

Hey Claude - Thanks so much for the tip! I reached out to the seller to try and see if they might be able to help confirm whether they have any compatible bulbs. Was the product listing you linked to one that you believe will work for Astro Baby lamps? Apologies - I don't know much at all about bulbs so seeing 20W in the listing made me unsure. All along I've been searching for bulbs that hit all 3 codes listed on the bulb that came stock: GU10 240V 28W. Thanks again for your help! I truly do appreciate it! - Mike

I'm not so sure what I received is what's in the listing though. I have a mixture of bulbs that look like the 2 in the attached picture. Can anyone please confirm whether these will work? They're definitely larger than the stock bulb that came with my Astro Baby so I'm struggling to connect them a bit since my fingers cant fit. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

The base of my Astro Baby says max 28W so I'm guessing these bulbs aren't going to work :( They're 35W and 50W.

You bought a full size (50mm) reflector halogen. the Astros use mini (35mm) reflector halogen bulbs. does it even fits in your Astro Baby?

I'm using these 35W mini halogen bulbs for my full size Astro:

Its almost identical to the bulbs sold by Mathmos but much cheaper and works just fine for me.

I didn't realize there was a "mini" version of GU10. It looks like the bulbs I received will fit, but since my base says max of 28W, I've been hesitant to try in fear of messing things up. Luckily the eBay seller acknowledged they sent the wrong wattage bulbs. I ordered some replacements straight from Mathmos since I struggled to find another seller. I'll be using forward2me and paying more than I would have liked. While that AliExpress seller has that listing live, I might as well pick up some more so I'm ready. Thank you!

What I do for my Astrobabys and Telstars is I just buy the official Mathmos GU10 28W bulbs and use a voltage converter. For my Astros I buy a plug adapter (not a voltage adapter) and use a 120V full size GU10 35W bulb. I find the wider bulbs work better than the narrow or mini versions provided by Mathmos for Astros.
