Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hi guys, my name is Alan I´m from Argentina and i bought a Starlight Underwriters Laboratories lava lamp 20 yeas ago when I was on a vacation trip in the USA. Recently the cap of the lamp got broken, do you know where can y buy a replacement cap? A friend of mine is living in the USA an is gonna travel south soon so he can bring me the cap.

Thanks, Alan.

That is a Lava Lamp brand Century lamp, with a white wax/blue fluid globe.  Sadly replacement caps are not made for these.

Now that is what I call out of the box modern thinking!!!

Just needs some glue and steady hands

The problem is not the printer, is the modeling itself. It is a little bit complicated but im on it.

It would be great if somebody who has access to a 3-D printer would make these.

This one is the best option, opening the crack a little bit, filling with resin and paint the hole cap again.

Take the cap off and plastic wrap the glass. Don't lose the o ring inside the cap! Then maybe wood clamps after using resin and wipe away the excess that comes out. I'd even go with gorilla glue or Krazy glue. That stuff never did me wrong.
