The cost of a Lava Lite brand Lamp

I used an Inflation Calculator to determine the cost of Lava in the previous decades:

In 1966 an Aristocrat's retail price was 26.95 ----- in 2012 that equals $184.24 !!!

In 1996 my Century set me back 59.99 ------  today that equals $82.16

Today, a 52 oz China lamp costs 29.99:

In 1996 that would be $21.19

In 1966 it would only be $4.39 !!!

(I could not find consistant comparable prices of 52 oz lamps from the 70's and 80's)

Interesting! I'm amazed at how cheap they are now, but then again, the quality... so...
