Too many little bubbles in my Fluidiums

Hello there and thank you in advance for your help,

I'm so lucky to own an old Fluidium shop stand, that one with the four first lamps in a row, and I love it.
Well, the problem is that all of them makes too many very small bubbles and the "lava effect" is missing at all. The bottles are original and perfectly sealed. And (exept for the opal one that's used) they are from a new old stock.
They came with the old 40w golf ball lamp but I replaced them at first with the 40w reflectors spot and now with the new mathmos halogen lamps.
The last try is the worst because after...mmm...three hours of use the wax remains in the upper part of the bottle because it's too hot.

Now, I've spent hours reading many previous discussions here, but I didn't find a definitive solution for this: what's the best bulb for the Fluidium lamp. And... Is the bulb the reason for the million bubbles?
I'm not new to lava lamps, are the Fluidiums so different from the usual Astro in terms of "flux"?

And to me that looks like an overheating issue. If you were having better flow with the golf ball bulb, I would definitely switch back to it.

They are over heating...

My flueys do this with reflector bulbs and after three hours

or so. I have to turn down the dimmers.  I am using the stock

bulbs that came with the units.

I have used the golf ball bulbs but it takes forever to get going.

No, with the golf ball bulbs it's the same result.

Hi Todd, thank you!

Are you suggesting me to add a dimmer using the 40w halogens reflectors? They are all connected to a single electric source.

It could be a fantastic idea.

Fluidium flow is an acquired taste OOltzee !  The nature of the beast!!!

The clue is in the title... Fluidium.

I am lucky enough to own a complete yellow lamp and a green globe.

Bubbles come and bubbles go.... some don't even ask how it goes !!!

You're certainly right, Aladdin,

this is the magic of Lava, and this is the reason we love them.

But sometimes I prefer a slower come and go and a more hypnotic drawing inside the lamp...
