Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hey fellow lava lovers.

I have two 90's 32 oz globes (same color and fluid) that I want to join together and put into a larger 52 oz globe

Does anyone have experience doing this? I don't think I can successfully make this move without hearing about others' experiences doing so- I am most worried about sticking wax. What should I look out for and would you recommend using the straw method (to transfer wax and avoid sticking to glass).

It is entirely possible

Attached is a guide for restoring /transferring globes

Just make sure you coat the globe prior to adding the lava

I've done it many times.  Take a look at the grande I created using 8 - 52oz globes of original liquid and wax orange liquid black wax.  It's my favorite of all my lamps.  Flows insane.  It's a lot of fun to see the outcome.  I've also done it using lava lite glitter lamps to create grande glitter lamps.  I would suggest taking the liquid from both lamps and mixing them together before filling the globe.  Same goes for the wax.  Mix them together before you fill globe.  I've had no sticking as long as I washed the globe and rinsed it thouroughly.  I then rinsed with distilled water and let the globes dry out completely.  I would not suggest using towels, napkins etc. to dry inside of globe becasue they leave microscopic piecies of lint that you can see later when the globess running if the liquids clear.  Once dried I swished some of the lava liquid into the globe coating it then pouring out leaving about 1/4 inch left behind on the bottom.  Drop the spring back in add wax let the wax dry completley then fill with liquid.  Seal and start her up.  Hope this helps.
