Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I'm just starting my collection, and rather than looking through thousands of ebay listings and hoping they do work, and are real lava brand lamps, I thought I would try here. I'm really not looking for anything too expensive, I have a regular lamp, which is pink/white, I believe it is a 32 oz, not sure, but I'm looking for the same thing in other color combos......besides the pink/white obviously, but I'd be open to another of those too! I see so many pics on here of people having them all grouped together, and that's what I want!! lol. Anyway, let me know what you have available, nothing too expensive, my husband would kill me!! I'm a stay at home mom who is married to a teacher, so keep that in mind, lol.

Hi Cindy,
I'm a retired science teacher (40 yrs.) I just started collecting lava lamps this summer. I now have 14, all different colors and shapes. I acquired them all at garage sales. The least I paid for one was $1.00 and the most was $8.00 for a 52 oz. Most were $2.00-$3.00. Along the way I also bought solid oak shelves to put them on(at garage sales for a couple of $). Garage sales became quite a lot of fun. Just do NOT buy any that are cloudy thinking they will turn clear. They will not and unless you are willing to put more money into making the liquid, just pass that up for clear ones. Hope this helps a little. Also if you go to ebay you will see many different kinds but most people are asking too much for them when you calculate the added cost for shipping. You can buy NEW 32 oz. LL at Spenser's Gifts (if you have one in town) for $20.00. They are new and clear.
Hope this helps you out a little

Walt
